President Donald Trump told Fox News on September 27 that Iran's inflation was “close to 300%,” adding that he had heard a figure of 318% that morning, while predicting that the United States would win the war “very soon.” Iran is experiencing severe inflation and currency depreciation, but the current national consumer-price measures located for this review are far below 300–318%: Iran's central bank governor said September point-to-point inflation was 83.8%, while Reuters and AP reported national inflation around the high-60% range earlier in September. The war-outcome statement is a forecast rather than a presently verifiable fact.

At his August 21 South Carolina rally, Trump paired a record-employment claim with a claim that inflation had just fallen at its fastest rate in years. The latest BLS data do not support either formulation: household-survey employment in July was below its July 2025 level, while the July CPI rose 0.1% month to month and the 12-month inflation rate eased only from 3.5% to 3.4%.
