Lori Trahan is the Democratic U.S. representative for Massachusetts’s 3rd District and has served in the House since January 2019. Raised in Lowell, she worked in the office of Representative Marty Meehan, eventually becoming his chief of staff, and later worked in the private sector before winning election to Congress in 2018.
In the 119th Congress, Trahan serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, including the Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade; Health; and Oversight and Investigations subcommittees. Her official office also identifies her as a co-chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee and a senior whip.
