Tim Sheehy is a Republican U.S. senator from Montana. Congress.gov and the Senate’s official Montana roster record his Senate service beginning in January 2025.
Sheehy graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Navy SEAL officer, including deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. His official Senate biography also describes later work as an aviation entrepreneur and founder of Bridger Aerospace and other businesses focused on wildfire response and sensing technology.
Sheehy’s official biography lists service on the Armed Services, Veterans’ Affairs, and Commerce, Science, and Transportation committees. His office also reported that he was sworn into the Navy Reserve in July 2026 while continuing to serve in the Senate.
