Before Congress, Moulton served in the U.S. Marine Corps, including four tours in Iraq, and later earned graduate degrees in business and public policy. His official biography also records private-sector work before his election to the House.
In the 119th Congress, Moulton serves on Armed Services and Transportation and Infrastructure and is the ranking Democrat on the Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee; his official office also lists service on the House select committee on strategic competition with China.
