Andy Biggs is a Republican representative from Arizona’s 5th Congressional District. The House Historian records his service beginning in January 2017 and continuing through the 119th Congress.

Before Congress, Biggs served in both chambers of the Arizona Legislature, including as president of the Arizona Senate. He holds degrees from Brigham Young University, the University of Arizona and Arizona State University and practiced law before entering federal office.

Biggs’s official House biography lists current service on the Judiciary and Oversight committees and identifies him as chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance. He previously chaired the House Freedom Caucus from 2019 through 2021.
