Alan Armstrong
Alan Armstrong is a Republican U.S. senator from Oklahoma who was sworn in on March 24, 2026 after appointment to the seat vacated when Markwayne Mullin became Secretary of Homeland Security. His official biography states that the appointment runs through January 3, 2027 and that he is not seeking election to the seat.
Before entering the Senate, Armstrong spent decades at Williams Companies, serving as president and CEO from 2011 to 2025 and executive chairman until March 2026. He is a civil engineer by training and previously served on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.
